"History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again." -Maya Angelou
Individual therapy provides help for concerns that are troubling you, and supports you to experience meaningful change.
Help for:
- Relieving anxiety, chronic worry, panic
- Working through depression, sadness, feeling stuck
- Improving relationships
- Healing from childhood trauma, loss, neglect
- Supporting life transitions and grieving losses
- Finding meaningful work, interests, passions
- Moving through creative blocks to creative expression
- Increasing vitality, compassion, joy, and courage
In therapy, we explore your inner world to understand the underlying causes of your pain, to heal, and to access and expand you capacities. As relevant, we also take into account family history, and the influences of ethnicity, culture, and societal forces on your life. My style is actively engaged to create a safe environment to empower growth and healing.
In addition to talking about the past, we focus on what's happening in the present to bring experiences, sensations, thoughts, and feelings into awareness. Chronic patterns and core beliefs can then shift to allow you to feel more alive, vital, courageous, and connected to yourself and others.
